The first team of Glenwood High School, suffered a disappointing defeat to Westville on Friday evening. The team struggled to find structure and balance on attack and only managed to score 1 goal to Westville’s 5 in the first 2 chukkas.

We changed our defence at half time in an attempt to put more pressure on Westville and push hard to counter attack on their errors, this improved tempo saw us come back with 2 goals in the 3rd chukka.

The 4th period started well with the momentum still firmly with the Glenwood boys but a technical mistake by us saw a penalty being awarded to Westville for an illegal player in the pool. Westville scored the well taken penalty and this put the game out of our reach. Final score being 7 – 4.

I must commend the Westville boys and coaching staff for their highly disciplined display of water polo, they deserved the win.
