schoolsthatrockGlenwood High School, Durban, First Team Water Polo hosted Maritzburg College in a tightly contested match on Wednesday, 28th February 2018.
The game started at a fast pace with both teams having a number of attempts on goal from counter attacks. The goalkeepers from both sides reacted well to early pressure and kept out the majority of shots on goal, the first chukka ended 1 – 1.
Glenwood took the lead early in the second chukka but College would not let the game get away from them and kept Glenwood’s lead to 1 goal going all the way into the fourth chukka. A late surge by Glenwood saw them score four goals in 4 minutes and we managed to close the game out 9-5. A good win for Glenwood in the end.
