Voting Day in Scrummies. Voting Day 2024 has provided T Charles College’ lads with a valuable learning opportunity. Concepts like free and fair, democratic, responsibility, choice, as well as your right as a member of the country are all extremely important for our boys to learn about.
At Scrummies, the boys were given the chance to vote for their favourite superhero. First, they made their ID cards and registered to vote with the official, Mr Stewart-Burger. St Charles also encouraged parents to discuss the characteristics of a good superhero with the boys at home.
Voting Day dawned. Boys arrived wearing their favourite choices colours to show their support. The excitement was palpable as they all lined up to exercise their right to vote. Once they posted their ballot paper, their thumb was marked to make sure that they only voted once.
The Grade 0 boys had the big responsibility to calculate the results of the Voting Day – after sorting, grouping and counting the votes, they put together a graph for all of Scrummies to see who the winner is!
