The learners of Union High School in Graaff-Reinet are totally behind the Springboks as they vie for victory in the 2019 Rugby World Cup tournament. Yesterday, Tuesday, 8 October, the entire school gathered in the school hall just before kick-off, to watch South Africa take on Canada in their final pool match.
The learners couldn’t have asked for a better show from the men in green, with South Africa running riot against 14-man Canada, scoring 10 tries in a 66 – 7 victory that all but guarantees them a quarter-final spot.
Union extends its thanks to Grant Hobson and André Brink for their efforts in setting up the equipment needed to live stream the game.
