U16 SA Water Polo – St Andrew’s College

U16 SA Waterpolo. Tiago Williams, student from St Andrew’s College in Grahamstown, recently returned from Malta, where he represented South Africa in the U16 SA Water Polo team at the World Championships, held from June 18 to 24.

“The tour was one of growth and learning opportunities,” said Coach Kwakhona. It was heartwarming to see the boys improve with every game, facing tough opposition from teams like Montenegro and Egypt in the group stages. The SA team went on to win their matches against Slovenia and Canada.

Tiago scored his first goal of the tournament against Ukraine. Receiving his green and gold blazer was a very proud moment for him.
