U15 Prestige Affies tournament. 🎾 Eunice High School U15 Tennis Team Shines at Prestige Affies Tournament.
The Eunice High School U15 tennis team competed in the annual Prestige Affies Tournament held in Pretoria, facing some of the toughest junior competition in the country. Despite the challenges, the team showcased exceptional talent and determination throughout the event.
In the group stage, Eunice battled hard but fell short against Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool Pretoria (AHMP), Oranje Meisieskool, and Nelspruit. The knockout rounds saw a nail-biting 8–5 loss to AHMP B, with every match going down to intense tie-breakers. The team bounced back with a commanding 8–1 victory over Waterkloof, demonstrating their resilience and fighting spirit.
Their final match against Voortrekker (Bethlehem) ended in a loss, placing Eunice 14th overall in the tournament. Still, the experience was rich with growth and sportsmanship.
A special congratulations goes to Liezl Vosloo, who was honoured with the award for Best Sportsmanship in the Tournament—a proud moment for the school and a testament to the values Eunice instills in its learners.
It was also a heartwarming experience for the Eunice staff and players to reconnect with familiar faces during the tournament, making the event all the more memorable.
