This weekend Treverton’s Gap Year Team participated in the annual Kamberg Classic Mtb event. A few of them were not able to finish their race but not because of their own limitations. A rider crashed on the 25km race course and some of the students stopped behind her and administered first aid (they used their learnt first aid to help but also that they were prepared to forfeit their race to help).
The rider’s shoulder was badly injured and she ended up receiving an arm sling custom made from Treverton’s bright Gap Adventure Ministry shirts.
Two students went to the nearest table to notify officials and rescue while 2 students stayed with the patient.
Well done team!
Thank you to the organizers for their generous gesture.
