TLC Matric Class. The air was filled with jubilation, excitement and a sense of pride as The Leadership College, commonly known as TLC, celebrated their Valedictory at the Heideveld Primary School hall.
With teachers, parents and learners in full attendance, Western Cape Premier Alan Winde addressed the crowd. This left the learners motivated for their upcoming NSC final examinations. “When there are so many challenges out in the world, what better time it is stepping into that world to say bring it on!” Said Premier Alan Winde.
Premier Alan Winde further encouraged the matric class of 2022. He said “let’s go and find solutions to problems for the world, for society, also for the future”. The Matric class received further words of wisdom and motivation from Founding Director of TLC, Mrs Ashra Norton. “ You made it! You did not drop out like many of your peers in other institutions”.
NSC examinations
The Final NSC examinations are set to kick off on the 31st October and end on the 18th Nov 2022. The schools principal Mr Yousuf Atcha had this to say, “During the midst of a global pandemic, TLC still managed to attain a 94.5% matric pass rate despite all challenges”. Mr Atcha also expressed more words of support taken from an Epic poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson, “To strive, to seek, to find and not to yield.”
By the end of the event, TLC grade 12 learners presented their farewell speeches which covered the many thank you’s for all the people who were involved in their development. The Gr 12 learners seek to follow in the footsteps of the alumni who find themselves in various professions, some of whom are back at the school as teachers for the grades 4-9s.
TLC wish all the Gr 12s a cross South Africa well over this period of examinations.
