schoolsthatrockThe Bay Cook Off. This year, Camps Bay High School has introduced an Inter House Cooking Competition, The Bay Cook Off.
The brainchild of the school’s Consumer Studies Head, Ms Dineo Samu, the Competition will be held over Three Rounds and judged by Chefs from the International Hotel School.
In the first round, two learners from each house competed in a head-to-head challenge to decorate a cake. They had 1 hour and 25 minutes to complete the challenge.
The cakes were judged by Chef Lee from the International Hotel School. Going through to round Two of The Bay Cook Off are:
- Jana Steyn and Helena Laubscher from Red House with their Floral Cake.
- Sbongile Mpofu and Athraa Toefy from Blue House with their Birthday Cake.
- Tyla Baartman and Isabella Minter from Green House with their Birthday Cake.
In the next round, the learners will have to create a lunch from a Mystery Box of ingredients.
