schoolsthatrockSummer sports derby. This past week the local summer sports derby between St Charles College and Maritzburg College took place. As one can imagine, this fixture has the potential to bring out the best in the St Charles College boys. The derby effect was also multiplied with their first team playing against their rival team on Wednesday in the local 100 ball competition.
With St Charles College’ first cricket team coming up trumps in the midweek game, it was all to play for on the Saturday. In a match where the momentum shifted continuously, the Saints first team eventually found their rhythm and defeated Maritzburg College.
