This term, the tennis courts came alive as St Charles College launched their season in spirited fashion. Both the 1st team and U15A squad took on the formidable Maritzburg College in a thrilling away fixture that showcased skill, grit, and sportsmanship.
The seniors battled it out at the picturesque Kershaw courts, while the junior team faced their rivals at Maritzburg College’s home grounds. The format added extra intensity to the matchups. Singles and doubles games were scored on a strategic point system—3 for a win, 2 for a tie-breaker win, and 1 for a tie-breaker loss—ensuring every set counted.
💥 In tightly contested bouts across the board, both Saints teams rose to the challenge. From rally-filled singles matches to coordinated and tactical doubles play, spectators were treated to high-caliber tennis. Ultimately, St Charles College emerged victorious in both the 1st and U15A matches. Each team sealed the day with an impressive 11–7 scoreline.
