schoolsthatrockAt the 2017 PMB High Schools’ FA Cup, an U19 team was selected to represent the PMB High Schools Football Association. St Charles College, Pietermaritzburg, 1st team players, Brayden Sampson and Luyanda Mazeka, were selected and toured Spain over the Easter Holidays.
Their tour saw them playing 4 games against local teams in Barcelona and Madrid as well as training sessions with professional coaches. Their highlight was watching a live Barcelona Game at Camp Nou where Lionel Messi’s brilliance was on full display as he scored a hat-trick including a free-kick to give Barcelona the win over CD Leganes.
They also visited the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and had the privilege of meeting the SA Ambassador to Spain, Smuts Ngonyama, in Madrid whilst on tour.
