The highlight of the St Charles College calendar is our annual Speech Night. The Indoor Centre was completely transformed into a beautiful venue, fit for an evening celebrating all that the St Charles College community, and in particular the boys, have achieved over the past year.
The Matric class of 2018 took pride of place in front of the stage, savouring their final formal function in their schooling careers. One of the highlights of the evening was the speech given by 2018 Head Boy, Matthew Mortimer. Seeing the College through the eyes of the Head Boy is an insightful experience and it is wonderful to hear of the memories he will cherish of his 12 years at St Charles College.
The announcement of the 2019 prefect body was one of the most anticipated items on the programme. Congratulations to all those who were selected to be Prefects and Council Leader. The top five selected to represent the College as Head Boy and Deputies are Kyle Reid (Head Boy), Brayden Sampson, Zukile Mbuli, JJ Foord and Guy Church . The evening concluded with a rousing rendition of the College’s school song that could be heard well beyond the walls of the Indoor Centre.
