My name is Lihle Ndlovu. I am in Grade 12, Selborne House. I started at St Andrew’s in grade 10. My fondest memory at St Andrew’s is hard to pinpoint. Every moment has its own joy. Whether it’s laughing with my friends at break, dancing in front of the hall during music Fridays or having orientation with the grade 8s… The community of people around me have found ways to make every moment a special one. At St Andrew’s I was taught to fight for what I believe in. Not everyone will agree with you, but if you give everything you have, then that’s sufficient enough sometimes. To the younger girls of St Andrew’s, I would say that you should own who you are and not be ashamed. You may not fit into the perfect idea of what a true “Andrean” is by the book, but you have irreplaceable qualities in you that stand out; and you should not hide them, not from anyone and not from yourself. I plan to study Chartered Accounting post-St Andrew’s; and who knows, maybe you might see me on the news one day for something amazing!
