My name is Nicole Chetty, and I am Head Girl for 2020. I am in Grade 12, Selborne House. I started at St Andrew’s in Grade 8. One of my fondest memories has to be Interhigh Athletics 2017. This was the year that our grade went to support the Athletics team. I remember standing at the starting line, and I looked up and saw the girls and they shouted, “We love you, Nicole”… it was then that I knew I would always have the love and support of my grade, or rather…my – Sisters for life. St Andrew’s has taught me that if I want to see change, I need to be that change. If I want to accomplish anything, great or minuscule, I need to put in the effort and consistently work hard. St Andrew’s has also taught me to treat everyone with respect and to be kind to everyone with whom you cross paths. Advice I would give the other girls would be to not let Mr Mos’ or Mrs Nooy catch you running, walking or talking fast….ever (even in between classes) – you will be recruited to the Athletics team on the spot… But on a serious note – try to embrace every moment! There will be great days and horrible days; relationships that strengthen and ones that fizzle out; you will make memories you will want to relive every day, and others that you would choose to forget; but know that each and every one of those will help shape you as an individual. I plan on studying Civil or Aeronautical Engineering; and hopefully after that, obtaining my pilot’s licence. #ClassOf2020 #AndreanPride
