You’re invited to a comedic, over-the-top romp filled with musical shenanigans, perfectly suiting an operatic parody! The Kearsney College choir, orchestra and drama department are collaborating with local theatre gems Aaron McIlroy and Lisa Bobbert to present a fun extravaganza of cabaret and comedy. The show will feature music from the movies (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Godfather, Kill Bill), a tranquil Celtic meditation by composer Karl Jenkins, as well as pop-anthems from the 80s (Madonna), 90s (Michael Jackson) and naughties (Muse). One of the University of KZN Opera School’s brightest stars, Zee Madiyata, will provide some opera delights and will be joined on stage and accompanied by the Kearsney boys. The unique performance is scheduled for next Tuesday and Wednesday (13 and 14 May) in the Henderson Hall at Kearsney College. Food and drinks will be on sale from 17h30 and doors open at 18h15. Bookings are via Quicket.
