The highlight of the St Charles College calendar has always been the annual Speech Night. As with each year, the Samukele Khumalo Arena was completely transformed into a beautiful venue. It was fit for an evening celebrating all that the St Charles College community, and in particular the boys, have achieved over the past year.
The Matric Class of 2024 took pride of place in front of the stage. They were surrounded by the Saints community, savouring their final formal function in their schooling careers. One of the highlights of the evening was the speech given by 2024 Head Boy, Nicholas Oldfield. Seeing the College through the eyes of the Head Boy, is also an insightful experience. It is wonderful to hear of the memories he will cherish of his years at St Charles College.
The announcement of the 2025 prefect body was also one of the most anticipated items on the programme. Congratulations to all those who were selected to be Prefects and Council Leaders. The top five selected to represent the College as Head Boy and Deputies are Matthew Bishop (Head Boy), Rico Honiball, Olivier Mukaz, Ujjval Nirghin and AJ Bosman.
