Senior SA Rowing Championships. Mila Wienand National Recognition.
After impressing at the Senior Gauteng Championships earlier this month, Mila rose to the challenge at the Senior South African Championships this past weekend. Competing in the highly competitive Women’s A Double category, she and her partner delivered a superb performance to claim gold against the country’s finest.
This remarkable achievement has earned Mila an invitation to trial at the National Selection Regatta in three weeks’ time. She will pair up with Ntsako Shipalana from St Stithians, an exciting partnership that represents a significant opportunity at this level of the sport.
Should they excel, Mila could secure the honor of representing South Africa at the U19 Championship Regatta in Bulgaria later this year.
