Scottburgh 10 km race – Creston College learner excels

Scottburgh 10 km race. Simoné van Heerden, Grade 11 learner from Creston College participated in the Scottburgh 10 km race on Sunday, January 14.

She successfully completed the race with an impressive time, securing the 2nd position for the Juniors and the 16th overall position in the female category. This marked her first official race since rehabilitating her ankle injury in September 2023.  Simoné had a great time achieving this position, thanks to the support from both locals and those unfamiliar with her, who rallied behind her as “Creston” since she chose to represent her school in the event.

It’s a healthy and energetic start to 2024, setting the tone for fitness preparation in anticipation of a busy sporting term.
