It is a priviledge for Schools That Rock to introduce Eunice Hich School’s 1st netball team’s captain, Till-Mari du Preez, to the visitors of our website.
“I started playing netball when I was six. I play Goal shooter of Goal attack. I have also played Wing Attack and Wing Defence.
This is my first time as Captain of a 1st Team.
With team exercises I do what our coach tells us to do. It usually starts with stretches and ends with stretches. It differs every day. For alone exercise, I go for a long distance jog every second day. After my jog I stretch and then I do cardio.
I am in the first team tennis as well. I prefer a team sport. It teaches one responsibility, teamwork, and communication.
I feel that my purpose as captain is to keep my team motivated, inspired, and disciplined. But most importantly is to make sure that everyone is treated in the correct manner and that the sport, netball,eu is enjoyed by my teammates and myself.
I want to play sport after school. I see netball as an escape from an ordinary, academic day. I hope to enjoy the game for as long as I possibly can. I hope to represent my university one day.
