It is a priviledge for Schools That Rock to introduce Sihle Ntlantsana, captain of Edgemead’s girls 1st Soccer team, to the visitors to our website.
“I started playing soccer at age 15. I currently play goalkeeper for our first team. I played defence before but fell in love with goalkeeping.
This is the first time I have ever captained a team. it Is a little out of my comfort zone but I am very excited about this leadership role I have been given.
I don’t really have an excercise routine but I enjoy taking walks and going on jogs to stay fit.
I also play for first team softball. I prefer team sports because it encourages team work, it helps with communication and social interactions with other people. I feel like my duty as a captain is to be there for my team, support my team through the good and the bad and always making them smile.
I have not given playing after school soccer that much thought but if I had the opportunity I would take the chance.
