School Boy Cricket. A Historic first in the 160th year of DHS
Durban High School proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone in its cricketing tradition. On 26 February, Joshua “Osh” van Biljon led DHS to victory over Clifton High School in the KZN W100, while simultaneously reaching the landmark of his 100th match for the 1st XI — a testament to his consistency, resilience, and dedication to DHS cricket.
Just two days later, in the final fixture of the term, van Biljon rose to the occasion with an innings of sheer brilliance, scoring a blazing unbeaten 162 off 132 deliveries. Partnering with Ismaeel Omar, who contributed a superb 101, the duo guided DHS to a commanding 73-run victory over Westville.
This achievement stands as a proud chapter in the 160-year sporting heritage of Durban High School. A milestone that cements his place in DHS cricketing history. The DHS Old Boys salute you, Joshua!
