SAARA SA Nationals was held in Douglas, Northern Cape on 6 – 7 October 2017 and was attended by SAARA KZN.
SAARA KZN had one entry, Dylan Drysdale, U20 Precision shooter who walked away with an excellent score of 603,4 and in the process won the bronze medal in his age category. In doing so he also earned his SAARA SA colours, having achieved it 5 years consecutively.
Dylan was first awarded SA Colours 2013 with a springer, 2014 with a sporter and 2015-2017 with a Precision rifle. He also earned a bronze merit bar for his excellent score.
He is the only air rifle shooter in KZN who achieved SAARA SA colours 5 years in a row.
During Dylan’s high school career he has earned KZN Provincial colours twice; SAARA SA National colours 5 times, SA Development colours, he was one of four finalists in the KZN Sport & Recreation Junior Sportsman of the year and ended it off with Junior Protea colours.
