SA Top Schools Squash. St Anne’s Diocesan College, Hilton in KZN, 1st Squash Team has made St Anne’s history at the SA Top Schools Squash Final. Led by team captain, Amy-Lee Strydom, they showed their dominance in the KZN leg earlier this year. And now, they’ve excelled against South Africa’s top eight schools. The team earned a silver medal and the title of the second-ranked squash school in South Africa.
The journey has been filled with impressive wins, including a remarkable 20 – 2 victory against St. Mary’s DSG. Furthermore the girls earned a convincing triumph over Clarendon School for Girls. They also topped their pool by defeating Paarl Gymnasium with a 20 – 0 score.
In a thrilling match against Epworth School, Ellena Chemaly-Sutherland’s victory propelled the team to their first-ever final, where they faced tough opponents, Midstream College, to take second place.
High-five to Amy-Lee Strydom, Kaitlin van Aardt, Ashley Upfold, Ellena Chemaly-Sutherland, Alexandra Uys and Madison Watt-Pringle for their remarkable dedication.
