SA National Junior Swimming. ANJ Champion – Eunice Swimmers Shine at Nationals.
Eunice swimmers, Leila Yazbek, Hana Duncan, and Dayna van Niekerk, recently competed at the SA National Junior Swimming Championships (SANJ) in Gqeberha.
Eunice is proud to announce that she has a new SANJ Champion in two events!
- Leila Yazbek claimed gold medals in both the 200m Individual Medley (IM) and the 100m Butterfly.
- She competed in 10 events, achieved 10 personal bests, and brought home 10 medals in total:
- 5 silver medals (200m Freestyle, 100m Breaststroke, 400m IM, 50m Fly, 200m Breaststroke)
- 3 bronze medals (50m Breaststroke, 100m Freestyle, 50m Freestyle)
This is an extraordinary accomplishment and a testament to her dedication and talent.
- Hana Duncan competed in 9 events, achieving 6 personal bests. Her standout performances included:
- 200m Backstroke (9th place)
- 100m Butterfly (11th place)
- 50m Butterfly (12th place)
- Dayna van Niekerk competed in 10 events, achieving personal bests in all 10. Impressively, she placed in the top 20 across all her races.
All three swimmers train under Mr. JP Seyffert (EGA Swimming), who also serves as Eunice’s swimming coach.
Ladies, Eunice is extremely proud of you – your hard work and achievements inspire them all!
