SA Hockey. Eunice Hockey Stars Shine Bright After IPT Selections.
Following the thrilling conclusion of the annual Interprovincial Tournaments (IPTs), several Eunice senior players have earned the honor of representing South Africa on the national stage. These selections are a testament to their relentless dedication, skill, and passion for the sport.
Eunice is immensely proud of their 1st Team players, whose hard work and perseverance have paid off spectacularly. Their achievements not only reflect individual excellence but also elevate the spirit and reputation of their hockey program.
🇿🇦 National Team Selections
- SA Under 18A 🏑 Bianca Rees Gibbs. Bianca’s selection to the elite U18A squad places her among the top youth players in the country. Her tactical awareness and tenacity on the field have made her a standout performer.
- SA Under 18B 🏑 Cale Potgieter 🏑 Georgia Kambanis. Cale and Georgia have earned their spots in the U18B team, showcasing exceptional growth and consistency throughout the season. Their selection highlights the depth of talent in Eunice’s ranks.
- SA Under 17A 🏑 Claire Volschenk. Claire has been selected for the prestigious SASHOC U17A team and will represent South Africa in the upcoming Allister Fredericks South African Schools Challenge, taking place in Johannesburg from 10 to 16 August 2025. This tournament honors the legacy of Olympian Allister Fredericks, a trailblazer in South African hockey.
