Rural Geluksburg. This week St Charles College’ Grade 10s embarked on their annual extension to Rural Geluksburg in the Northern Drakensberg.
The camp can only be described as a unity camp to awareness. One of the main objectives of the week is creating cultural awareness. The school trusts that boys will return with a more empathetic understanding of their responsibilities as future leaders. Perhaps, at St Charles College, they can be ‘the school that Africa needs’.
Through cultural awareness, leadership, unity, empathy and developing a social conscience in an ever-changing landscape, our boys will return home as men of substance. They should be ready to step up and stamp their mark in the Upper School and leave their own unique legacy: a legacy of kindness, empathy and awareness.
“Please enjoy some of the photos from the camp. We look forward to welcoming all the staff and boys back today.” – Mrs Roxanne Davies (Head of Grade 10).
