Rowing. St Andrew’s Rowing Community hosted the official Opening of the newly constructed Rowing Boathouse. The school thank their school Chaplain, Rev Alison Thabethe, for the Blessing of the Boathouse; and to the Head Coach, Jamie Croly, and the Head of Senior School, Gill Jeffrey, for opening the building.
St Andrew’s also took the opportunity to mark the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of Rowing at the school; and honoured the hard work, dedication, commitment, fundraising, and collaboration between the school and parents – past and present.
It was wonderful to share the celebration with past and current: rowers, parents, Committee members, coaches, and Board and Trust members. A sincere thanks to all who joined in the celebration, showing their support of our school. It was a special treat to have been joined by Olympian rowing Old Girl, Kirsten Macdonald (McCann, 2006); and Junior Worlds Old Girl, Samantha Hudson (2001).
