St Andrew’s School for Girls, in Bedfordview, pupils Lize-Mari de Beer and Jenna Pearse, grade 11, were selected to be part of the National Youth Swimming Squad for 2017, and Kerryn Herbst, grade 9 and Hannah Robertson, grade 7 were selected to be part of the National Junior Swimming Squad for 2017.  Selection is based on Olympic events only and squads are selected on Swimming South Africa (SSA) Rankings as at 30th of April of each year.  To be eligible for selection to squads, swimmers must participate at any of the SSA National Long Course Championships in that year.
