Senior Sportswoman of the year trophy and the Reingold Trophy for girls’ highest achievement in sport for the year
With unwavering certainty, it is evident to all that the recipient of the prestigious Reingold Trophy for Girls’ Highest Achievement in Sport for the Year embodies the very essence of Outstanding Girls Sporting Achievement. This exceptional learner has not only proudly represented her country at the Canoe Marathon World Championships but has also clinched the coveted Gold medal in the K2 Event, etching her name into the annals of Camps Bay High School history as its first World Champion.
Yet Holly’s exceptional accomplishments don’t stop there. Beyond this remarkable pinnacle, she consistently plays active and indispensable roles within the Girls Soccer and Water polo First Teams. It is the utmost honour to award her both these prestigious awards.

The most dedicated Sportswoman – The Gordon Landau award: Sienna Anderson
We celebrate a dedicated and sportsmanlike young lady who has excelled in multiple sports, including Athletics, Water polo and Netball. Sienna’s commitment to training, perseverance through challenges, and strong sportsmanship are truly commendable. She has earned the honour of captaining the Under 19 Netball team, showcasing her exceptional dedication to the sport. Her influence extends far beyond the court. Despite her busy schedule as a matriculant, she consistently leads by example, arriving first at training and selflessly contributing to team administration. Her professionalism and discipline have left a lasting impact, especially on new junior players. In her role as a tireless servant of the game, she has made invaluable contributions, and her presence will be dearly missed.
Outstanding leadership on the sportsfield – Kleinsmith Shield:Ziam Sheikh
This award is presented to an exceptional individual whose dedication, leadership, and extraordinary sporting talent have left an indelible mark on our school’s sports community. He has consistently proven himself to be a true leader, both on and off the field. As the captain of the school’s Rugby team, he embodies unwavering commitment and an unparalleled work ethic. Ziam’s ability to inspire and motivate his teammates is remarkable. Leading by example, he sets the standard for all to follow.
His dedication to his sport shines through the countless hours he has devoted to perfecting his skills and the sacrifices he has made to excel in the challenging game of Rugby, His leadership extends beyond the Rugby pitch, as he also serves as the captain of out school’s Basketball team, showcasing his versatility as an athlete and leader. In this role, he exhibits the same unwavering dedication, determination, and sportsmanship as on the Rugby field. Through his remarkable leadership and exceptional talent, he has brought pride not only to himself but also to his coaches and our school as a whole.
Junior Sportsman of the year trophy – Bukho Hoza
This award is presented to an individual who embodies the essence of “for the love of the sport.” This Junior learner has not only set the bar for endurance and speed in athletics but has also demonstrated unwavering dedication and exceptional leadership. Bukho’s commitment to the sport led to his selection as the captain, of our school’s Athletics team. Additionally, his invaluable contributions to the U16 Rugby Team’s success this season have not hone unnoticed by coaches and teammates alike.
On the Rugby field, he has consistently stood out fearlessly putting his body on the line and displaying near invincibility against opponents. Week after week, he faces extreme challenges and emerges unscathed, always ready for the next challenge. His ability to excel in both individual and team sports is a testament to his athleticism, encompassing not only physical prowess but also mental fortitude and teamwork. In the words of the legendary Kobe Bryant, “Hard work outweighs talent – every time.” This learner’s dedication and commitment exemplify the sentiment.
Junior Sportswoman of the Year Trophy: Daniella Muyombo Kalala
This learner’s outstanding ability to manage a packed schedule is truly impressive. Daniella not only excels academically but also shines in the school’s athletics, basketball and netball teams. Beyond these teams, she consistently performs exceptionally well in a variety of sporting events, consistently achieving top three positions. Her versatility and commitment to sportsmanship are evident in her willingness to take on different sporting challenges.
Moreover, when the U19 Netball team faces strategic challenges, she is the go-to solution. Her leadership qualities shine both on and off court, as she effectively organises and motivates her teammates while maintaining remarkable composure. Her responsible and respectful nature has earned her respect from peers and coaches alike, and her undeniable talent is evident in her exceptional performances. Setting high standards for herself and her teammates, she embodies a dedication to excellence that inspires us all.

Camps Bay High honours a remarkable coach. He has been an integral part of Camps Bay High’s Soccer and Athletics teams since 2015. His dedication and eight years of service have left an enduring legacy. This coach’s unwavering commitment extends to every sporting Endeavor, from Interhouse Athletics to Soccer, resulting in numerous accolades, including Girls Team of the Year Awards and multiple DSK Slim Cup victories. Under his guidance, the First Team and Junior Soccer Girls have thrived, showcasing beautiful, attacking football and tactical brilliance. His infectious passion, warmth, and enthusiasm have consistently propelled our teams to success. In addition to his coaching prowess, he embodies a heart of gold leaving a lasting impact on both athletes and the entire sports community.
