Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School pupils excel in Karate

Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School pupils, Mikaylla Totaram and Hana’ Jeremiah, did extremely well at both the recent karate provincial and national tournaments.

KZN Karate Championship:

Mikaylla – Bronze medal for Kumite 14-15 years (U47 kgs)

Hana’ – Gold medal for both Kata and Kumite 14-15 years (U54 kgs)

South African National Karate Championship:

Mikaylla – Silver medal for Kumite 14-15 years (U47 kgs)

Hana’ – Gold medal for Kumite 14-15 years (U54 kgs)

Hana’ is currently ranked 2nd in South Africa which makes her eligible for selection to represent South Africa at the African Union Sport Confederation All Styles Karate Tournament.
