Olympic challenges. The Pre-Primary children of Creston College are participating exciting Olympic Challenges! The reading challenge encourages children to read as many books as possible until the end of the term. They will be awarded bronze, silver, and gold medals based on the number of books they read. This is a fantastic opportunity to emphasize the importance of reading as well as to inspire a love for books among the young learners.
Olympic-themed hula hoop challenge
The reading challenge recently completed a fun and energetic Hula Hoop Challenge with an Olympic theme. Each class was assigned a colour and engaged in activities inspired by the initial sound of their colour:
- Black Team: Balanced on a beam and stilts while holding a ball.
- Green Team: Played golf and practised goal shooting.
- Red Team: Participated in rolling, riding, and a running race.
- Yellow Team: Did yoga and tossed yarn into a hoop.
- Blue Team: Bounced like bunnies, balanced on one leg, and blew bubbles.
The day concluded with everyone forming the Olympic rings with their bodies. It was a fantastic day of fun, learning, and teamwork!
