Grey College, Bloemfontein, is indeed very proud of Sam Kalume (2019). A U.S. team successfully recruited him to play soccer in the U.S.
Sam received an amazing scholarship in the USA. Obviously the scolarship will increase annually, should Sam perform well in academics as well as on the soccer field. He will represent the William Penn soccer team. Furthermore he is also sponsored by world famous brands. This appointment is undoubtedly a result of the training he earned from Grey College.

Coaching at Grey College:
At Grey the coaches and players work, above all, consistently to provide the boys with an identity as a Grey College student.
Football skills are improved on the field as this is vital to the growth of Grey College Football. Also, the soccer teams compete against very good football schools in the Bloemfontein Region, Free State and obviously other provinces across South Africa.
Director of Soccer:
The Director of Soccer at Grey College is Mr. Ricardo Katza. He is undoubtedly an experienced former international player and coach. Furthermore his achievements include 19 appearances for South Africa (Bafana Bafana) of which 8 appearances as the captain. He has made 221 first class appearances and head coach of SuperSport United U/19 Academy. Futhermore he was assistant coach of SuperSport United FC senior team and the U/23 Multichoice Diski Challenge team. Mr. Katza shows great initiative and Grey’s soccer players are benefitting from his holistic approach to coaching.
