schoolsthatrockNSC Excellence Awards 2024. Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School received a total of 22 Awards at the NSC Excellence Awards on Thursday 22 February 2024.
Seventeen teachers received awards for their learners achieving a 100% pass rate in their subjects. GHS received an award for the most number of distinctions (419), and an award for coming in the top 10 in the district.
Two of Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School’s learners, Zaakirah Edris and Kezia Marion, each received an award for achieving seventh place in the district. Kezia also received an award for first place in the district for Life Sciences.
Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School is very proud of the excellent academic standard their learners achieve every year, and this is owing to the dedication and hard work of their educators and learners. The recognition at the annual NSC District Awards proves that the teachers give their very best to their learners.
