Newton Laerskool in Kimberley se kore het deelgeneem aan die ATKV Applous Koor Kompetisie op die 30ste Mei.  Die Leeukoor (Graad 2-3), onder leiding van Mev. Estelle Vorster, het deelgeneem in die Juniorkoor afdeling.  Newton Kompetisiekoor (Graad 4-7), onder leiding van Mev. Hettie Rossouw, het deelgeneem in die Seniorkoor-Afrikaans afdeling.  Albei het goud verwerf. Newton is baie trots op ons kore.

Newton Primary of Kimberley’s choirs took part in the ATKV Applous Choral Competition on the 30th of May.  The Lion Choir (Grade 2-3), directed by Mrs. Estelle Vorster, took part in the Junior Choir Category.  Newton Competition Choir (Grade 4-7), directed by Mrs. Hettie Rossouw, took part in the Senior Choir-Afrikaans Category.  Both choirs achieved gold. We at Newton are very proud of our choirs.
