Hoër Meisieskool Oranje. Dis amper tyd om die matrieks van 2022 te groet. Vanjaar se graad 12’s is uniek en die gees van die leerders is aansteeklik. Elkeen van die matriek leerders het op verskeie gebiede hulle stempel by Oranje afgedruk.
‘n Paar interessante feite oor die matrieks se toekomsplanne.
Die verskeie dorpe en stede waar hulle gaan studeer:
- 30.2% – Bloemfontein
- 7.5% – Pretoria
- 18.9% – Stellenbosch
- 5% – Johannesburg
- 24% – Potchefstroom
- 10% – ander, m.a.w. plekke soos Amerika.
- Altesaam 26,5% wil rekeningkunde studeer
- 18,4% medies
- 12,2% onderwys.
ʼn Groot aantal matrieks wil oorsee gaan au pair-werk doen. Hulle sê dis ‘n goeie geleentheid om die wêreld te sien en nuwe dinge te ontdek. Lea Cronjé, Alinda Burger en Tuané van der Westhuizen gaan al drie volgende jaar in Stellenbosch studeer. Lea gaan B Sc Veekunde, Alinda, B Com Entrepreneurskap en Tuané, wat van syfers hou, B Rek studeer. Hulle wil almal in die koshuis bly, want dis waar jy vinnig ander studente ken, meen hulle.
- Lea sien haarself eendag as ‘n suksesvolle veekundige op ‘n plaas waar sy graag haar worshondtelery op die been wil bring. Sy het ‘n groot liefde vir die diere.
- Charlize Visser gaan in haar pa se voetspore volg. Sy gaan by die IMM Graduate School logistiek studeer. Sy en ʼn vriendin gaan ‘n woonstel deel.
- Marlezé Hoffman maak reg vir Potchefstroom waar sy haar liefde vir hokkie gaan uitleef terwyl sy bemarking gaan studeer. Sy sê sy sien die meeste uit na haar kursus omdat sy so ʼn groot belangstelling daarin het.

It’s almost time to say goodbye to the matrics of 2022. This year’s Grade 12s are unique and the spirit of the learners is contagious. Each of the matric learners made their mark at Oranje in various areas.
Some interesting facts about the matrics’ plans for the future. The various towns and cities where they will study:
- 30.2% – Bloemfontein
- 7.5% – Pretoria
- 18.9% – Stellenbosch
- 5% – Johannesburg
- 24% – Potchefstroom
- 10% – other, i.e. places like America. A total of 26.5% want to study accounting 18.4% medical 12.2% education.
A large number of matriculants want to go overseas to do au pair work. They say it’s a good opportunity to see the world and discover new things. Lea Cronjé, Alinda Burger and Tuané van der Westhuizen will all be studying in Stellenbosch next year. Lea will be studying B Sc Animal Science, Alinda, B Com Entrepreneurship and Tuané, who like numbers, B Acc. They all want to stay in the hostel because that’s where you quickly know other students, they say.
- Lea sees herself one day as a successful livestock expert on a farm where she would like to set up her dachshund breeding. She has a great love for the animals.
- Charlize Visser will follow in her father’s footsteps. She will be studying logistics at the IMM Graduate School. She and a friend are going to share an apartment.
- Marlezé Hoffman is getting ready for Potchefstroom where she will live out her love for hockey while studying marketing. She says she is most looking forward to her course because she has such a keen interest in it.
