Mathematics Olympiad. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬
St Charles College is proud to announce the achievements of our students who participated in the third and final round of the Mathematics Olympiad. Last week, our finalists received their certificates and medals in recognition of their outstanding performance.
Congratulations to Veer Bhagwan, Bailey Peters, James Isaac, and Daniel Morkel. They ranked among the top 100 senior and junior participants nationally, earning their place in the prestigious third round.
A special commendation goes to Bailey Peters. Bailey was awarded a voucher for placing first among junior participants in the province in the second round—an exceptional accomplishment.
In the third round, James Isaac delivered an extraordinary performance. He was placed 19th nationally among senior participants and secured 1st place in KwaZulu-Natal. This is especially impressive, given that James is in Grade 10, competing against students in Grades 11 and 12. His remarkable achievement has earned him an invitation to attend the Mathematics Camp this December at the University of Stellenbosch.
St Charles College celebrates the dedication and excellence of our top mathematicians. The school also extends its heartfelt congratulations to James on his selection for the camp. We wish him continued success on this exciting journey. — Mrs Charlotte Pillay Head of Mathematics and Computer Science Faculty.
