Love knows no bounds. Love knows no bounds, especially on Valentine’s Day. The Camps Bay High School Interact Society proved just that with their heartwarming gesture towards the residents of Erica Place in Athlone. It is a welfare facility managed by the Cape Peninsula Organisation for the Aged (CPOA).
Instead of typical Valentine’s Day romance, the Interact Team spent their break times leading up to the holiday crafting heartfelt cards for the elderly residents of Erica Place. They made sure no one felt left out on this special day.
Erica Place, home to 81 seniors, is more than just a care facility. It’s a place dedicated to preserving the dignity and independence of its residents.
Ms. Kirsten Mobsby, Head of Service at Camps Bay High School, shared her thoughts on the initiative. “The gesture from Camps Bay High School’s Interact Society not only brought joy to the residents but also reaffirmed the importance of community connection and compassion, fostering a culture of kindness and inclusivity – both within the school walls and in the broader community.”
