Blessing Mabusela from Lowveld High School made it onto the South African team to participate in Talent America.
With no formal dance experience or training he entered his own contemporary dance piece in the 2017 Nelspruit Eisteddfodd where his remarkable talent was first noticed.
He was then sponsored to start undergoing formal training in contemporary dance at Tolly’s dance studio in Nelspruit.
He participated in the regional competition of Talent Africa and qualified to go to the national competition. At the regional competition he was given an award for best performance At the national leg of “Talent Africa” which was held in Johannesburg (Roodepoort theatre) on the 7th of April and at this competition he won gold and silver medals for contemporary dance and modelling. At this competition he was awarded federation colours for dance and modelling and made it onto the South African team to participate in Talent America.
Blessing is an orphan and would need to be sponsored if he wants to participate in the competition which takes place in the USA in July 2018. For him to go to America he requires a sponsorship to the value of approx. R70 000. His progress is astonishing considering that he only started with formal dance training in August 2017.
