Karate World Championship – Durban High School

Karate World Championship. The Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Association (FSKA) hosted it’s 24th Karate World Championship from 7th to 10th November in Goa, India. This Championship boasted athletes from over 25 countries around the world.

Durban High School student, Aaron Maharaj (1st Dan Black Belt) competed in the 16 – 18 year division, showcasing his incredible talent and hard work, scoring his highest points ever and winning 1st place for his world-class Kata. With this excellent achievement Aaron won Gold at the Karate World Championship!
