As of January 2020, Mrs Jeanmarie Venter (née Kingwill) will be the friendly face that greets parents and their little ones at Union Pre-School’s reception. Mrs Venter was recently appointed as the school’s new secretary and we are extremely excited to have her on board! She will be performing important administrative tasks that help in the day-to-day running of the school, which will enable our teaching staff to perform their jobs to the best of their ability.
Mrs Venter is no stranger to the Union community, being an Old Unionite herself. While growing up on a farm in the Sneeuberg district she attended the Union Schools from Grade 1 through to Grade 12.
The years following her schooling has seen her live all over South Africa. She, however, moved back to Graaff-Reinet in 2018, where she enrolled her twin sons, Karl and David, in her alma mater.
Her daughter is currently furthering her studies at the University of Pretoria.
Mrs Venter loves playing tennis with her sons and taking her dogs for long walks in Graaff-Reinet’s beautiful surroundings.
“I am honoured to be a part of the Union Schools’ family and can’t wait to start at the pre-school,” said Mrs Venter.
We’re absolutely certain that Mrs Venter’s welcoming smile at our reception will make everyone’s day a little brighter and we can’t wait for her to join our team!
