International Literacy Day. Every year, on the 8th of September, International Literacy Day is observed to raise awareness and concern about literacy issues that exist both locally and globally. Its aim is to highlight the importance of literacy to individuals, communities and societies.
With this in mind, the Junior Primary boys from St Charles College in Pietermaritzburg, learnt about the importance of literacy in everyday life. They celebrated the theme by generously bringing books to donate to Never Never Land School in Emandleni, Cedara.
