ICC Women’s World Cup. South Africa will be playing host to the ICC Women’s World Cup in 2023. This is a huge event on the ICC Calendar, for women’s cricket and for women’s sport in general. This is a space that is rapidly growing in all facets and one that which the Hollywoodbets Dolphins is supporting.
With all the excitement around the World Cup, KwaZulu-Natal and the Hollywoodbets Dolphins were nominated to host a Trophy Tour within the city. Durban Girls High School was the first stop to kick off the tour. This is a wonderful honour for the school and their own cricket team. They were joined by members of the Dolphins Women’s Cricket Team and Protea players.
The guests included Angelique Taai – KZN Girls u19 & Senior Women’s Coach, Dheyanka Naidoo – KZN Girls u16 Coach, Zaheer Hoosain – KZN Amateur Manager, Yashveer Singh – KZN Cricket Services Manager, Nondumiso Shangase – Proteas Player, Nonkuloleko Mlaba – Proteas Player, Nobulumko Baneti – SA Emerging Player, Thobeka Sangweni – KZN Hubs Co-Ordinator, Johan Weyers from CSA and ICC and Sarel Erwee – opening batsman for the Proteas.
