Head of School 2025. Shaka Buthelezi, learner of Hilton College, KZN, has been appointed as the Head of School 2025.
“My name is Shaka Buthelezi and I am the Head of School for 2025. If there’s one word I’d use to describe my time at Hilton, it’s “inspiring”. Since arriving at Hilton in Grade 8, I’ve been inspired every day to do more. I also go above and beyond, and strive for greatness. This has never felt like pressure. It rather felt like the constant support, love, and motivation of my parents, teachers, and peers.
Hilton is not for overachievers only — it’s a place where all boys are inspired to achieve. As the Head of School, I hope to inspire all Hiltonians to embrace their greatness.
For me, 2025 is about the process. How does one become great? I hope to redefine greatness, not as a result, but as a process. How do we, as boys of Hilton, continue to inspire and motivate each other to be the best versions of ourselves? How do we seize growth opportunities every day? Also how do we pick each other up in the face of adversity and remember that slow progress is better than none at all?
These are the questions I hope to address this year, and in doing so, inspire the next generation of Hilton boys.
