Tristan Joubert (Grade 11) from Glenwood High School in Durban, has been selected as a member of the South African Men’s U18 Touch Rugby Team to compete at the 2018 Federation of International Touch (FIT) Youth World Cup.
The Youth Touch World Cup provides an exciting opportunity for the young elite players of the sport to compete at the highest level, providing a potential pathway to future Open representation. The tournament is expected to host 50 teams from across the globe in six divisions. South Africa will be sending six teams to participate in the following divisions: Boys 18, Girls 18, Mixed 18, Men’s 20, Women’s 20, Mixed 20.
The Open and Youth World cup Tournaments are hosted every four years. This year the tournament will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 8 – 11 August 2018.
