Sihle Hadebe has signed with @tuksrugby after attending the Call Up Camp in 2020 and will be studying a BCom Actuaral Sciences. His dream is to become a CA.
The first-ever @callupcamp took place in December 2020. The Camp was attended by 360 players, representing more than 120 schools from every province in the SA. The Camp is based on the NFL Combine concept and was created to give players the opportunity to showcase their individual talents. The Call Up Camp is your platform to be seen by some of SA’s top rugby coaches and scouts, especially after 2 years with limited exposure.
Players undergo strength, conditioning, and positional skills coaching under the watchful eye of our panel of experts.The strength and conditioning tests were developed by Wits fitness guru Jacques du Randt. This includes 11 tests that will evaluate every aspect of the player’s physical ability and is conducted by top varsity cup and schools conditioning coaches.
The rugby coaching team is led by former Lions Super rugby coach Swys de Bruin, and he is assisted by top provincial, varsity cup, and other influential coaches. They do position-specific testing and coaching to ensure that each player knows what abilities he needs to have to succeed as a rugby player at the top level.
