schoolsthatrockGrant Kennard (Grade 12) will receive his KZN provincial colours together with a KZN Blazer and will compete in the SA Champs for Indoor Rowing in May representing KZN.
Recently Grant competed at the KZN indoor Rowing Champs held at Kwamashu Indoor Sports arena. He competed in the men’s U19 division, he came first in his single Erg race winning a gold medal and his quad team came first also winning Gold. He has now been chosen to compete in the SA Indoor Rowing Champs in May.
Indoor Rowing is when the boys compete on an ERG (rowing machine) racing over a distance of 2000m for time against other teams and schools, Grant rowed a 6:52 in his 2000m, the fastest on the day.
Grant will participate in the Gauteng National Champs on 14-15 April 2018 at Roodeplaat dam and then SA Nationals at the end of April.
