Eskom ISF Expo.
Five Eunice learners, Annéka van Wyk, Carliné Nolte, Joan-Marie Fourie, Oprah Mukhebi and Mycaela Myburg participated in the national Eskom ISF Expo from 7 to 9 December at the OR Tambo Conference Centre in Gauteng.
In the Environmental Studies section, Mycaela Myburg and Carliné Nolte won bronze with their research on: “What combination of plastic will be a good alternative to fill potholes?”
In the Plant Sciences section, Joan-Marie Fourie’s project received a “Highly recommended” mention from the judges. She tested various succulants for their disinfectant qualities, especially where there is a need in rural towns, were doctors and hospitals are far away.
Oprah Mukhebi also received a “Highly recommended” mention.
