El-Rico Klemp ‘n graad 9-leerder van Hoërskool Kroonstad (Blouskool) en lid is van die Hoofprint Perdry Klub, is gekies vir die IHAA-span (International Horseback Archery Alliance). Die IHAA bied ‘n Internasionale Wêreld Grand Prix Kompetisie postaal (postal match) aan.
Each country can enter a team consisting of 9 riders. The competition is divided into 3 stages (each stage on a different date) and only 3 riders are entered into each stage. Each stage consists of the same 3 events:
6 x Runs Tower 90 (The new IHAA Hungarian Track) (2 warm-up Runs with shooting allowed)
6 x Runs Raid 233 (Korean 233) (2 warm-up Runs with shooting allowed)
4 x Runs Skirmish (new IHAA track)(2 warm-up Runs with shooting allowed)
Total of 22 Runs
Volgens MAASA se reëls en seleksie kriteria (sien hiernaas) het El-Rico gekwalifiseer vir hierdie span,
Currently in South Africa we are facing many difficulties and restrictions with regards to hosting competitions, movement of horses etc. so we as MAASA aren’t yet sure whether we will be able to or allowed to take part in this competition but we are going to try our very best to make it work. The IHAA has supplied a list of dates on which each country can host the 3 stages. MAASA has applied to the SAEF for permission to host competitions (under strict covid regulations) on these dates and are still awaiting an answer from Government and the SAEF.
