Eden Chess Top Schools. York High Shines at Eden Chess Top Schools Tournament.

On Saturday, 16 August, York High’s chess teams delivered a stellar performance at the prestigious Eden Chess Top Schools tournament, hosted at Carpe Diem.

1st Team Triumph. Demonstrating exceptional skill and determination, York High’s 1st Team clinched 1st place overall, showcasing their strategic prowess and unwavering focus.

U17 Girls Team Excellence. The U17 Girls Team impressed with their sharp play and teamwork, earning a well-deserved 2nd place finish in their category.

Junior Boys Team Success. The Junior Boys Team also made their mark, proudly securing 2nd place in their division with confident and consistent performances.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication, discipline, and Yorkie pride that each player brought to the board. Teamwork and focus were on full display, and York couldn’t be prouder of their chess stars.
